We love seeing you all show up to protests with creative, smart, powerful signs. Chanting, engaging, exercising our rights we're fighting to keep. We all know it takes more than "just" showing up to protests. We need to engage in additional actions to keep the momentum going so we can not only win this fight against fascism but be part of creating an even better country for ALL moving forward. Democracy depends on engagement. Below is a list of some key actions and organizations to engage with. See what attracts you and maybe try something new! Let us know what else we can add to this list!
50501 Central Oregon Weekly Protest

We're hosting a THEMED weekly protest every Saturday starting October 25th from 2:30-3:30! Watch here, our social media accounts and join our email list to know what the theme is for the week or just show up with your sign and your voice for Democracy, freedom of speech, human rights and more.
October 25th: No Kings, Just Queens
November 1: Recycle your Halloween costume
November 8: Celebrate and support Veterans

50501 Central Oregon Book Club
50501 Central Oregon Book Club is kicking off
November 6th! Our first book is Be A Revolution by Ijeoma Oluo with copies available at your local libraries (including COCC) and bookstores.

Latino Community Association
A key organization in our community as our immigrant neighbors are being targeted. Follow for trainings, community conversations and fundraisers. They have a greater newsletter as well as social media presence and regular trainings including ICE verifier and accompaniment.

5 Calls
We hope you've all heard of 5 Calls but if not, go check it out! Hop online or download the app, set your location and choose your topic of concern from their list of current issues. You'll be given some background on the issue, contact information for your representatives, and script to follow regarding the issue you chose. Have you noticed how powerful we are when we speak up and speak out?! Remember--they work for us! 5 Calls
Card Campaign for Democracy
These well cited, factual cards (there's a lot of them!) are meant to be circulated throughout the community to help raise awareness on current issues and hopefully get into the hands of those who may not be seeking out this information like we all are. Red Wine and Blue
Red Wine and Blue offers education, online events, guides, a podcast and even an app for on the go and "Easy A" action items! In their words: "Not political? No problem. In fact, it's perfect.
